Depression for someone who has not given their life over to Jesus.

If you or someone you know is suffering from depression you may have kept it silently to yourself hoping it would go away. Maybe you have decided to delve into spirituality like so many in our culture are doing today and have busied yourself with the likes of middle eastern dance, Yoga, or the like in hopes that connecting to your inner being will make things right. Maybe you have been to a doctor who immediately signed you a prescription for pharmecutical drugs while setting another appt to come back in six weeks. Maybe you have been back to the doctor so many times you have lost count. Maybe you have been seeing a psychologist or a counselor and have been told to commit for so many weeks and with the commitment wondered if they were listening to you

You will see I have specifically labeled depression in 3 categories. Depression has become an accepted major epedimic in our society. It has been diagnosed in young children, the middle aged and the elderly.

Depression has been linked to numerous reasons and causes, from the loss of a job, loss of a loved one to guilt, past wounds, chemical imbalances and much more.

Medication has been the main component on seeing someone with depression cope until it was learned by the medical community that many taking such medications had horrible side effects the main one being suicidal thoughts and tendencies.

In a society where going to the doctor or a shrink promises to bring hope to fix the problem why is so many finding themselves not cured or worse off and depserate than before.

Should a born again child of God go to the world to seek hope, help and a cure when the world is silently looking towards the church for that same help?

Is God willing to help those who don't believe in him and are suffering from severe depression? These and other questions will be answered as you read what He has especially for you.
